RoboHawks is our LEGO Robotics program for kids aged 6 to 11, which combines the basics of coding with the fun of creating with LEGO to spark an interest in STEM education. This curriculum, which has its roots in FIRST LEGO League and LEGO Education, promotes creativity, teamwork, and hands-on discovery.
Children will design, construct, and program their own robots through supervised projects, overcoming real-world obstacles and developing important engineering and problem-solving abilities.
In this class, children will have fun while conducting science experiments and practicing Spanish in an engaging and interactive way. The class is available both online and in person.
Children enrolled in this session should be bilingual or fluent in Spanish, meaning they can understand and form simple sentences in the language. Perfect pronunciation of the Spanish language is not a requirement, but an understanding of the Spanish language is.
In this space, we seek to model, share, and live the Spanish language, taking root in our roots and enriching children’s learning. Expanding the children’s vocabulary so that they feel confident in speaking Spanish on varied topics such as science while they transfer what they already know to Spanish with ease.
We want to create and encourage environments where kids can practice Spanish, not to discourage the use of the native tongue.
TOPICS: Solar System, Our Body and How to Take Care of It, Food Chain, Climate Change, Microorganisms, Photosynthesis, Volcanoes and more!
This program promotes reading and writing in children aged 6-11 through reading stories, fables, riddles in a didactic and fun way.
We will create an environment where children can share their ideas and practice Spanish through reading and games. Also, kids will see different literary styles and learn more about each author (example: their name, country of origin, geographic location of their native country)
It is not necessary to know how to read Spanish but to understand it (advanced Spanish learners)
Topics:
Stories, Fables, Poem, Novels, etc.
We reinforce the use of oral and written language through riddles, tongue twisters, and word searches.
Children will explore basic vocabulary, simple sentences, and everyday phrases while building confidence in speaking and understanding Spanish. Each lesson is filled with engaging activities, from singing catchy songs to acting out fun role-plays and completing hands-on projects.
Basic Topics: Greeting, Colors, numbers, Family members, Animals, Feelings & Emotions, Weather and seasons.
Play-based learning for our youngest students! Tiny Amigos teaches fundamental Spanish vocabulary and phrases through songs, stories, and interactive games.
